11 Quick Tips To Rejuvenate!!

Hello Lovelies

It’s my birthday today and another year older and wiser – Yep I have learnt a number of lessons during the past year.

Anyhow, I have been feeling a little under the weather recently. The good thing is I am feeling much better now because I took some steps to address it and have shared them with you below.

Two weeks ago whilst on a trip to Germany, I fell asleep on my hotel bed and slept for about 3hrs!!!

Ok, that may not sound like something unusual to you. However, those of you who know me well know that for me to nap in the day much less sleep for 3 hours is very unusual.

Tired Woman

However, that was a turning point for me.  Because for the past month or so I had been super busy. Even though, I had taken some time out on a regular basis, such as weekends away with my husband in delightful locations that including spas and hot tubs etc. I had even started a new habit of getting to bed earlier and regularly getting approximately 7 hours rather than 6 or so hours of sleep per night. But I was feeling a little under the weather and felt like I was coming down with something.

So I decided that even though I had returned home from Germany, I was going to slow the pace right down for a week or so.

I believe that no matter how busy you are, sometimes you just need to listen to your body, rest, sleep and unplug from all the external stuff that keep our brains processing information at the rate of at least 90 miles an hour. I see so many women do this we are constantly on the go, often times we program our mind to believe that things need to be done NOW, NOW, NOW!

Here I share some of the things I did to reduce the pressure and rejuvenate my energy levels.

  1. Reduced my activity for a week on social media
  2. Started reading a novel
  3. Experimented with some fun and nutritious meals
  4. Got 8 hours sleep a night
  5. Said ‘no’ to things and requests that would have added busyness into my mind
  6. Left  my iPad at home when I didn’t need it
  7. Reduced my weights and cardiovascular workouts but continued with yoga
  8. Caught up with some movies on TV
  9. Increased deep breathing and meditation
  10. Ensured hydration by increasing my water consumption
  11. Relaxed and chilled

And there you have it, it’s not too complicated, and it is nothing new. But I feel much better for it.

I hope you find at least 1 of these items useful.  Ask yourself the following questions:

  • What could you incorporate into your day or week to take the pressure off?
  • How do you cope when feeling a little frazzled?

It would be great to know, leave a comment below and share your tips. You may really help somebody who is struggling.

Have a wonderful week.
