Well in this post I am doing something different.
I am doing a beauty product review. Yay!! This is the first one I am doing on the blog. So here goes.
Some time ago I was kindly sent some samples from MoMineral’s PR to test.
Mo’Mineral is a pure mineral make-up based right here in the UK. Their mission is “To provide the Dark Skin with top quality makeup products that give true match and a healthy glow.”
The brand is based on the principal that ‘makeup for dark skin should even out the skin tone, provide nourishment and protection while enhancing natural beauty!’
The exciting news is that the company have recently opened a high street store in Derby, UK. The store serves women of colour with their make-up needs and is the first of its kind in the UK.
MoMineral pride themselves with using 100% natural ingredients including a natural SPF20 sunscreen protection.
Although I have had mineral foundation used on me in the past this was the first time that I was applying it myself. I colour matched the samples and settled on using ‘Skoonheid’. It applied very easily with a brush and I was pleased with the coverage, which you can build on to your personal preference. The foundation gave me a fresh dewy look, stayed on all day with only a little bit of shine.
‘Ifunanya’ is the colour of the highly pigmented blush and a little goes a long way.
I was sent the lipstick in the colour ‘Juicy’, at first I was not sure about it, as it was not a colour I would usually choose. Surprisingly though, I quite liked it and will definitely use it again. I will try applying a little powder on top as I prefer a matt finish.
In summary, I liked the products and will definitely use the foundation again.
Visit the Mo’Mineral Makeup website to review the full range, which also includes, natural lip gloss, mineral eyeshadow and much more.
I had fun doing this review and look forward to doing more in the future.
Until next time.
