I have been thinking about so many things of recent. My Dad had to have unexpected and major surgery last month. We as a family, including my Dad decided to face his illness with optimism. We all did, we laughed, joked and shared memorable stories whilst he was in hospital. I am sure that having an optimistic outlook really helped him in his healing and recovery. The medical team were astounded by his progress and as a result he was discharged and allowed to go home sooner than expected. I am pleased to say he is continues to get stronger.
I have shared this before and want to share again, that it is so important to have an optimistic outlook when faced with challenging situations. I am generally optimistic and have been thinking about how I can top-up my ‘optimism tank’ and tap into it automatically.
So grab a piece of paper or your journal/notebook and ask yourself this question. ‘Which area of my life can I inject some optimism right now? Let me know how you will be implementing more optimism into your life.
Remember to see the glass half full rather than half empty. It can really change your life!
