Many of you may have used the hair care products from Shea Moisture. Shea Moisture has been around since 1912 and has humble beginnings in Sierra Leone, West Africa. This is where Sofi Tucker started selling her homemade Shea Butter, African Black Soap, skin and hair preparations.
Shea Moisture is a favourite line for many women with natural hair. However, the range can be used on all hair types, from afro, processed and naturally straight hair. Up until now Shea Moisture was not widely available here in the UK and many lovers of the brand would get their supplies from the USA. I love the brand’s ethos, they give back by developing sustainable communities where the ingredients are sourced. Their range consists of organic ingredients and the products are not tested on animals.
Shea Moisture also have a make-up, skin care, mother and baby range. However these are not available in the UK as yet.
I was fortunate enough to attend the recent Shea Moisture UK Launch Cocktail Party. The event was hosted by Curlvolution in a swanky venue in London’s West End. I attended as a blogger and have put together a quick video to share with you snippets of the evening.
Shea Moisture is now available in Boots across the UK and online. They currently have a 3 for the price of 2 special offer, which you won’t want to miss.
Comment below if you are a fan of Shea Moisture, I would love to know your favourite product in the range is.
